all in a week
okay i've decided not to you know, put songs up as titles alr, unless i can't think of a title that is. okay doesn't make much sense but nvr mind. i just have time for a quick rant before i go back to my books again. so here goes.my new heroine: Elena Isinbaeva of Russian Federation.
i am extremely lazy to surf for pictures not to mention uploading them requires some time and patience which i dun have. anyway she remained as the world record holder for the women's pole vault with a new record at 5.05m. it was an incredible feat as one who had watched the action on monday. her feat was as incredible as Michael Phelps's 0.01s feat. it was her third attempt after two failed ones. although sitting in front of the tv, miles and miles away from the real action, i was cheering for her like a crazy fan. well, that was monday.
wikipedia-ed Michael Phelps the other day. got some quirky interesting facts. in a nutshell, he's one of the zero-to-hero kind of guy. the transformation he undergone was wowww. oh ya oh ya, he's from Maryland, no that's not the funny part, (wait for it......), he's from Baltimore! the hairspray setting. gosh that's like so cool. i didn't even know that town really existed. okay ignorance on my part. but wow. caught some rhythmic gymnastics earlier. and wowww i went again. Russian Federation got Gold, China silver and Belarus (i think i didnt misspell it) got bronze. truly deserving, the Russians. a pity the Italy team got ousted because China upstaged the Belarus team.
anyway back to tuesday: went to subway for another chill-eat-&-study session with winnie and yenleng. while on the way out to the bus stop, some totally random salesperson called me on my cell advertising abt some cpfpolicy shit. okay i get that kind of calls pretty often, (i got one from a presumably Indian guy whom i placed from the accent, called and talked abt some finanical services last sat.) but the funny thing was, she called, and she knew my name and she said she got my number from a friend who did not want to be named. LOL! that's like a first time la. so hilarious. if it were real, abt the friend who didnt want to be named, i'm actually pretty curious to find out who.
the rest of the week flew past in a blur. had maths test on thursday, phys on fri and econs on sat. it was kind of sad as it's kinda like our last week of school as J2. time flies so, so fast. i know i keep lamenting on that, but i can't help myself. a few more weeks, prelims. a few more weeks after prelims, the big A's. and after A's, liberation. i'll miss plenty of things even mugging late at night.
anyway, on a brighter note. smth amusing happened on thursday; last period which happened to be maths. we were all looking down at the staff room at level3 from outside the IT Resource room, waiting for our usually prompt maths teacher. it seemed like the math department were having some sort of party with pizza and ms seah forgot abt the time. after mr ong strolled past and saw her, he conveniently told her that we were waiting for her. after that she stole a quick glance in our direction and ran 2 levels up through the staircase that linked the staff room right to the 5th level. afterwards she apologise profusely but even then she wasn't spared the humourous sarcasm. because we all blatantly observed the pizza hut's box on one of the tutor's tables, the guys teased her abt it. well, teachers are human too. haha anyway she ended lesson at 120 to give us a final speech that was rather touching.
even though the year hasnt end yet, and school hasnt either, i'm already missing and reminscing abt school life. sighs. reminscing allows us to remember who we are. sure, it has been a short 2 years, but even so, the experience gained, was comparable to 6 years in primary school and 4 years in secondary.
in conclusion (i always have problem concluding, hence the abrupt byes at every post), i'll like to end this post with some line that everyone knows. but somehow to me, its quite apt to end this post. the longest journey begins with a single step. the stage is set, and the time is now. goodbye (for some time, i hope, the more i stay away, the more time i'm spending on my books, ceteris paribus. if only things were that simple like a first order reaction. if.)
oh forgot to mention: my brother came back from obs with an injuried hand and got hospitalised for like 3days for a damaged nerve. i srsly duno which part is funnier. i think it's a tie. if you're reading this wj, HI! hahahah
Next movie to catch: Death Race
(the transporter guy is acting in it!)
