The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Omg. First I think an apology is somehow required. Hehe Nigel that pig was the first who had initially asked me out to catch it with him on sat, but I brushed him off because it was a weekend (think ex tixs) and my aunt had that disc. So with any common sense, anyone in the right mind would do as I would. Right. Then today I went to catch it with my friends. Lol I can feel the guilt poking me in the guts. But really, being jobless forces you to think in terms of economics. Between planning how to sustain my well-being and splurging on luxury with my pocket money, I need to raise money for my LA trip. Hahaha but I think I’m becoming used to guilt maybe it’s conscience nigging at the back of my mind every now and then. Just like how I want to find/get a job, but everyday I find myself not doing it. Life is a big contradiction. At least it is for me. Lol

Anyway, TCCOBB is seriously worth all its 13 Oscar nominations. Anybody who’s hesitating/considering, drop all your inhibitions and go catch it! And in order not to spill the beans, I shall comment vaguely on it. The whole story is pretty enthralling from the start till the end. And the guy who kept repeating, “Did I tell you that I got struck by lightning seven times,” was really hilarious. But he only mentioned five times how he was struck. One was while walking his dog, two on his way to the postbox, three him in his truck, four tending to cows, and I can’t remember the last one. Anyway, it was a terrific show, really. Worth 10bucks I guess, for all the laughter, tears and suspense I’ve had during the movie. Although I can’t, for the love of me, figure out how my companions managed to yawn at parts of the show. Well, I guess it’s the different people different perspectives thingy going. And oh, the movie is 166min. Mm, but then again, now that I’m thinking about it, it doesn’t quite make any sense for Benjamin’s mother to give birth to him the way he is. Maybe it’s because of the significance of the reverse clock and that he was borne on the midnight after the Great War ended. And then the whole hurricane scene didn’t seem to make much sense.

Dinnered at Aston’s with kayan, Theresa, yenleng and yiling. Food was okay and pretty affordable although the service could be better. And then there’s the long queue to take into consideration. Anyway, we spent quite some time after that at the lan shop to play table soccer. Lol. Being what and who we are (girls), we got excited easily and had a great time, and that translated to sounds – screamings and laughings. But thankfully, no one chased us out. I think in total, we spent about 8bucks or so on the table soccer or otherwise known as foosball. Lol

anyway, wiki has a very lengthy sypnosis about the film. if you dun mind spoilers, go check it out!
